Warranty

Draft — under review

This policy is a draft. It describes how our shop and our systems work today. Anything marked [to confirm] is still being checked and may change before this policy takes effect.

Effective date: [to confirm: effective date].

When your warranty starts

Every warranty we give starts when the item is in your hands — on delivery, or at handover in the shop. If we have no delivery or handover on record, it starts on the invoice date. Your online account lists your warranties with their end dates.

Repairs

If the problem we repaired comes back on the same device while our repair warranty runs, we redo the same work without charging for our labour. Parts are paid by you. New faults, accidental damage and liquid damage are not covered.

Our repair warranty runs for 30 days.

When we fit a part for you ($50.00), our fitting carries the same 30-day cover as a repair, and the part keeps its manufacturer's warranty.

Custom builds

The price of a custom build includes our build package. While it runs, all our labour on that PC is included, repairs and upgrades alike; parts are paid by you.

Every part, the ones we supplied included, carries its manufacturer's warranty. While your PC is covered by us, we handle the manufacturer claim for you. Parts you supplied yourself keep their own manufacturer warranty and are not covered by our build package.

Our build package runs for 24 months.

It includes 2 clean-outs a year. They are use-it-or-lose-it: a clean-out not used in its year does not carry over to the next.

Extra year and renewal

When you buy a new build package, you can add an extra year of cover — only at that first purchase.

Before your cover ends, you can renew it. A renewal gives you two more years — a year, plus a year free — with the clean-outs, and you can renew again the same way before each cover ends.

The extra year costs $50.00.

A renewal costs the price you paid for your build package, less $50.00, every time you renew.

A rush package renews as our build package: the build package price, less $50.00. A VIP package renews at the VIP package price, less $50.00, and keeps its remote support. Either way a renewal gives you two more years with the clean-outs.

Rush builds

Need it sooner? We can rush any new build, a prebuilt PC assembled to order included, with the same full testing. The rush package takes the place of the build package and covers the same, for longer.

A rush package costs twice the build package — $350.00 air-cooled, $450.00 liquid-cooled — and its cover runs for 36 months, clean-outs included.

VIP build package

For a custom build, our VIP package takes the place of the build package. It covers the same — all our labour on that PC and its clean-outs — and adds remote support for that PC included while the cover runs.

The VIP package costs one and a half times the build package: $262.50 air-cooled, $337.50 liquid-cooled.

Rush and VIP together

You can have both on one custom build: the rush package, plus VIP at half the build package price. The cover then runs for the rush package's full term, with the clean-outs and remote support for that PC.

VIP on a rush build costs $87.50 air-cooled, $112.50 liquid-cooled, on top of the rush package.

Prebuilt PCs

A prebuilt PC carries our cover on the whole PC, parts and labour, with its clean-outs in that time. You can add our build package when you buy it.

Our cover on a prebuilt PC runs for 12 months.

New products

New products carry the warranty shown on their product page. Parts sold on their own carry their manufacturer's warranty, and we point you to the manufacturer for a claim. If your PC is under an InOs warranty, we handle the claim for you.

Used and refurbished parts

Used and refurbished parts carry the warranty shown on their product page.

Our warranty on used and refurbished parts covers failure for 3 months. If one fails within that time, we replace it with an equivalent part or give you store credit.

What is not covered

Our warranties do not cover accidental damage, liquid damage, physical abuse, repairs or changes made by someone else, or a broken warranty seal. They do not cover parts you supplied yourself, or the loss of data, software or settings.

If a warranty no longer applies

If we find damage that ends a warranty, we record what we found, with photos, tell you the reason and show you the evidence. We then give you a quote for the work, which you can approve or decline.

Making a claim

Contact us or bring the item to the shop with your invoice. We check your coverage first, and the work it covers is done at no cost to you. Our repair warranty and build package cover our labour, so any parts are quoted before we start. [to confirm: who pays shipping on a warranty claim]

We email you before a warranty ends.
